മെൽബൺ : ക്നാനായ കത്തോലിക്ക കോൺഗ്രസ്സ് ഓഷിയാനയുടെ എല്ലാ രണ്ടു വർഷവും കൂടുമ്പോൾ നടത്തപ്പെടുന്ന ക്നാനായ കൺവൻഷൻ പൈതൃകം 2020, ഈ വര്ഷം നടത്തണ്ട എന്ന് ഭാരവാഹികൾ അറിയിച്ചു. ലോകം മുഴുവനും കൊറോണ വൈറസിന്റെ പിടിയിൽ പെട്ട്, ആളുകൾ ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന അവസരത്തിൽ, ലോക നേതാക്കന്മാരുടെയയും ആരോഗ്യ സംഘടനകളുടെയും , ഓസ്‌ട്രേലിയൻ ഗവണ്മെന്റ് നിർദ്ദേശങ്ങളുടെയും അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് ഈ വര്ഷ നടത്തതാണിരുന്ന പൈതൃകം 2020 വേണ്ടാന്ന് വെച്ചത്. സജിമോൻ വരക്കാലയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള കേന്ദ്ര കമ്മറ്റി യാണ് ഇമെയിൽ സന്ദേശത്തിലൂടെ അറിയിച്ചത്

Dear KCCO Family Members,
 
In light of the current unexpected and critical situation prevailing in Australia and around the world due to COVID 19, the KCCO National Council held an emergency meeting on Saturday 4th April followed by a General Body Meeting of the Knanaya Association of South Australia on Monday 6th April. It has been unanimously decided that in the best interest of our members and participants, the KCCO Convention 'Paithrukam 2020' will be cancelled.
 
We would like to recognize all those, particularly the members of KASA who have worked tirelessly over the past 12 months in the planning and promotion of what would have been a magnificent event. Our sincere thanks also goes to all those who have registered and earnestly began preparations for the event. Such enthusiasm, support and unity is what continues to strengthen our community.
 
Whilst this may be a bump in our journey, we must continue to work in upholding our rich traditions and heritage in Oceania. Our thoughts and prayers go to the families that have been impacted by this pandemic. We also pray for the medical community, of which many of our members are a part, as they work in the front line to fight this disease.
